Meet the CCHS Board:The operation of Coastal Christian High School is overseen by a board of committed men and women who seek God's leadership as He continues to develop this high school for His glory. Each board member is a committed follower of Christ and to the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of CCHS.Mrs. Brenda McCombie graduated from North Carolina State University’s School of Design with a degree in Architecture. Brenda has worked for more than 20 years in the fields of design, marketing, project management and has owned two small businesses in the Wilmington area. Brenda is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and a member of Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Rev. Kelly Stanley received his first degree in Religion from Campbell University. Following this Kelly received his Master’s degree in Religious Education from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He went on to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master’s in Divinity. Kelly is currently the pastor of Southside Baptist Church and is the Vice-Chair of our Board of Directors. Mrs. Morris Jackson is a graduate of Appalachian State University. She has a degree in Education and English. She was a public school educator here in Wilmington for 35 years and continued on to teach the last seven years in private Christian Education. She is currently the Assistant Principal for the lower school at Myrtle Grove Christian School. Morris leads the Board’s Intercessory Prayer Team and is a member of Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Lisa Perdue is a graduate of Virginia Tech. and has a degree in English. Lisa worked 11 years for the Fairfax County School system in Virginia in Personnel and Secondary Education. She and her husband have been franchisees with Chick-fil-A for the past 6 years and currently own the Chick-fil-A on Oleander Drive. Lisa also holds the office of Treasurer for our Board and attends Port City Community Church. Mr. Larry Smith is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Pharmacy. He has worked in Wilmington for 20 years as a retail pharmacist with Revco/CVS and is currently a clinical pharmacist with Caremark. He has expertise in diabetes, hypertension, and asthma and calls on area physicians. Larry is the Board’s Marketing Specialist and is a member of Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Mr. Michael Gambino holds an Associates Degree in Electronic Technology through The Community College of The Air Force. Mike is a retired military veteran with 25 years combined service in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard. He is currently employed as a Senior Network Technician with Alltel Wireless and has over 30 years experience in the com- munications field. Mike is actively involved at CCHS as the Booster Club President and Women’s Soccer Coach. Mike is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. Tim Blevins attended Appalachian State University with a concentration in Business. He went on to become General Manager of a large convenience store chain and several other franchises in Western North Carolina until 1998, when he stepped into full-time ministry. He is currently the founding and Senior Pastor of Life Community Church and the owner of a local franchise. Tim is the Pastor Liaison for the Board of Directors. Mr. Geoffrey Belk is a graduate of Cape Fear Community College with a degree in Applied Science with a major in Electronics. Geoff has worked more than 15 years in the Field Services Industry with a focus on business phone systems, computer hardware and computer networking. Geoff currently works as a contract employee at Corning Incorporated for Eplus Technology in Wilmington. He is serving as the Technology Liaison for the CCHS Board of Directors. Geoff is a member and Deacon of Christ Community Church. Mr. Craig Wheeler graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a B.A. in Communications. After graduating, Craig began his career in real estate at St. James Plantation in 1993 and is now the owner of Echelon, a private club and resort real estate sales and marketing company. He attends Christ Community Church with his wife and two daughters. Along with running Echelon, Craig is the head coach for the basketball team at Coastal Christian High School. Mr. Jack Boor graduated from Shepherd College with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. His 30 year career at Corning, Inc. included working as a supervisor in the control finance function in five different manufacturing plants. Currently, Jack works part time with teaching and mentoring assignments with Corning controllers and volunteers at Life Line Pregnancy Center where he has had previous board of director experience. He is the finance committee leader with CCHS and is a member at Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Dianna Lee serves as the baord secretary and has a student attending CCHS. She also serves with the CCHS Boosters and leads our Moms-In-Touch Monday prayer group at CCHS. |
